Green Soccer AssociationGreen Soccer Association is a non-profit community organization staffed by volunteer board members. For over 25 years, GSA has been working to promote soccer within the Green community. It is the "goal" of GSA to offer every child in Green the opportunity to play soccer. Every effort is made to provide the BEST soccer experience with trained coaches that have complete background checks, licensed coaches for older travel players, a completely insured program, the best facilities, and YEARS of experience organizing youth soccer. Our programs are directly linked to the Green High School programs with the boys' and girls' high school varsity coaches serving as Directors in GSA. EVERY DOLLAR of fees goes back to funding the program for the kids of Green. We also participate in community charity events to further strengthen our bonds with the community and to offer our players the chance to learn about being a member of a community and a team.

Strickland's Frozen CustardStrickland's Frozen Custard was founded in 1936 by Bill and Florence Strickland. During his years as an Akron Pure Milk employee, Bill developed his own rich recipe of cream, eggs, sugar and other ingredients. With his formula perfected, Bill turned his attention to finding an ice cream machine that would quickly freeze the ice cream, while limiting the air whipped into the product. The result was Strickland's award-winning frozen custard.

Bill and Florence built the first Strickland's Frozen Custard stand on Triplett Avenue in Akron, Ohio, and the Strickland's legend was born. The original stand is still in operation today, run by the third generation of the Strickland's family, and serving the same fantastic ice cream that made Strickland's a local landmark.
